Tesslo Wows Audience at CBC LA Party in Washington, DC
US-based Nigerian designer and creative director of Tesslo, Tessy Oliseh-Amaize, captivated the audience at the Congressional Black Caucus LA Party hosted by Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove on September 11 in Washington, D.C.
The event featured a runway show highlighting Tesslo’s signature blend of African artistry and modern fashion.
Selected as one of six fashion brands for the evening’s exclusive fashion showcase, Tesslo presented a breathtaking 13-piece collection that highlighted both men’s and women’s designs. Male and female models walked the runway in bold, statement-making looks, blending traditional African prints with modern, avant-garde silhouettes.
Reflecting on the experience, Oliseh-Amaize, whose collection closed the show, said, “It’s an honor to represent African fashion on such a prestigious platform. My goal with this collection was to not only celebrate the richness of African fabrics but also to demonstrate how they can be adapted for global audiences.”
